Other Pictures A collection of cool Images regularly rotated. Perseus A The Perseus A Supergalaxy is a massive galaxy, much bigger than the Milky way thought to have a big Black Hole in its centre. To find out more go to this page. This is a smoothed X-Ray image of the Perseus A Galaxy. The small dark patch North East of the centre is a galaxy of about 20,000 million stars which has been consumed by Perseus A. Just to give you an idea of its scale, half of the diameter of the Milky Way could fit into each of the orange circles/ovals in the centre. This picture measures 600,000 light-years on a side.
