This spectacular image is a false-colour picture of the Sun.

Here is another false colour image of the Sun, this time Green.

This extremely high resolution picture was taken utilising cutting edge technology to show in great detail a group of sunspots on the sun's surface. The outer parts of the sunspots shown in this image are in constant motion.(click on it for a larger version)

This rather bright picture was taken from the SOHO ultra-violet imaging telescope.

Here's yet another great image of the Sun. Notice the massive solar flare jutting out from the side.
